Classification of Ball Valves Based on Valve Body Structure:

One-Piece Ball Valve:

The valve body of the ball valve is molded as a single unit. It cannot be repaired, and if it becomes faulty, the entire valve needs to be replaced.

Two-Piece Ball Valve:

The valve body of the ball valve is molded into two separate parts. The valve body and ports are joined together using threads, adhesive, or friction welding after molding.

Three-Piece Ball Valve:

Modular design: Three parts are injection molded separately, and then the ports are sealed with the valve body through threads.

Single Union Ball Valve:

The ball valve body and one end port are molded separately. The port is designed to be removable, which is convenient for installation and maintenance of the valve in the pipeline.

True Union Ball Valve:

The ball valve body and both end ports are molded separately. The ports are designed to be movable, facilitating easy installation and maintenance of the valve in the pipeline.

Types of Ball Valves Based on Functionality

Shut-Off Type
This type features a 90-degree rotation of the ball core via the valve stem to halt fluid flow in the pipeline.

Diverter Type
